Hand a Lovable app to a developer with more than a code link
Prepare code, operating rules, service ownership and a reproducible journey for a useful technical handoff.

Start with a runnable example
Lovable documents code export and two-way GitHub synchronization, with one active branch synchronized at a time. That makes collaboration possible, but a repository link is only one part of a handoff. Give the developer a sample customer journey and the result you expect, such as submitting a repair request and finding it in the owner's queue.
Include the public address, the preview address and a safe test account for each necessary role. Explain which environment contains real records. Have the developer reproduce the sample journey before discussing enhancements, so both of you know you are looking at the same behavior.
Inventory what the code depends on
List the services used for stored records, files, sign-in, email and payments. Record the account owner, billing contact and renewal responsibility for each. Share access through the service's proper account controls rather than placing passwords or secret values in the handoff document.
Identify anything that only exists in the original builder's environment. A scheduled task, uploaded asset or business setting may need attention even when the source code is available. Ask the developer to mark each dependency verified, missing or unclear, with a specific next action.
Agree who changes the app
Decide where changes begin and who approves them. If an owner keeps editing in the builder while a developer works on the same feature, establish a simple coordination rule and a shared change list. Avoid assuming both copies will resolve competing edits in the intended way.
Write down the current business rules separately from the implementation. The developer should know why customers cannot edit an approved request, not just where that restriction appears. Also preserve known defects so an existing problem is not mistaken for damage caused during the handoff.
Prove the handoff in a small change
Choose one modest improvement, such as adding a useful search filter. Ask the developer to make it, show the difference and run the original sample journey again. This reveals missing setup information while the cost of correcting it is still limited.
Finish with an operating note: how to release an approved change, who monitors failures, how to recover and where the current instructions live. Ownership is clear when another person can maintain the app without guessing which account, version or environment the business depends on.
