What does an AI website really cost?
Separate the cost of making your website from the cost of keeping it useful, available and up to date.

Make two budgets
The first budget gets your website ready: design, writing, photographs, setup and testing. The second keeps it running: your plan, domain renewal, any separately charged hosting, outside services and future changes. Combining them into one monthly headline makes it harder to compare options honestly.
Record each item with an amount, currency and billing period. A discounted first month is not the same as the renewal price. An annual plan advertised as a monthly equivalent may require a full year's payment upfront. Check the actual checkout terms when deciding.
Count the services behind the page
A website can depend on more than its maker. You may use a domain registrar, a payment company, an email service or an appointment tool. Emergent's domain guide, for example, describes connecting an address managed through a domain provider. Keep that provider relationship in your operating checklist.
For each connection, ask whether the cost is fixed or usage-based. A small number of test messages will not reveal the bill for a busy month. Record a quiet-month and a busy-month assumption, and distinguish provider fees from the credits used to create or change the site.
Use a transparent calculation
A simple first-year estimate is one-time costs plus annual charges plus twelve months of recurring charges. Add a separately labeled reserve if you want room for revisions or uncertain usage. Do not hide it inside a number that looks like a supplier quote.
As a hypothetical example, 200 in one-time costs, 24 in annual charges and 20 per month produces a first-year subtotal of 464 in the same currency. A 10% reserve adds 46.40. These are arithmetic examples, not typical market prices or a Zocri quote.
Compare on the work you will actually do
A cheaper plan may still suit your needs; a more expensive one may save significant manual work. Test the features you need before assigning value to them. Include your time for reviewing content, handling inquiries and maintaining connections, even if it does not appear on a software invoice.
Use the free website cost calculator with your own figures. It keeps one-time, annual and monthly costs separate, makes the reserve visible and lets you take the result away. For Zocri prices, use the current pricing page rather than an old article or assumed exchange rate.
