Does your business need a website or a web app?

Start with what changes
A website often helps someone understand your business: services, examples, location, prices and a way to get in touch. A web app often lets someone complete work and return to a changing record. The boundary is flexible. A public website can include a booking form, and an app still needs useful public pages.
Ask what the visitor needs to accomplish. A photographer may need a portfolio and inquiry form first. A customer proofing service, where clients sign in, choose photographs and track revisions, is a different job with different access and storage needs.
Draw the smallest complete journey
Write five short lines: where the visitor arrives, what they see, what they do, what gets saved and what happens afterwards. If the last two lines are unclear, resolve them before adding more screens. The owner should know how a new inquiry becomes an actual next step.
For a tutor, the first version could show subjects and collect a lesson request. It does not need instant scheduling, automatic payments and a student portal on day one. A request should be labeled as a request until the tutor has confirmed it.
Choose the right starting point
Shopify documents an online store centered on commerce. Lovable documents creating web applications with natural language. These are useful starting points for different evaluations, not rigid limits on what either can do. Check your exact workflow and required integrations.
In Zocri, the App and Website choices make your intent explicit. Choose based on the result you need, then describe the owner's work as carefully as the visitor's. A beautiful public page does not substitute for a private, usable owner view when one is necessary.
Leave room to grow without buying complexity early
Keep your content, contact details and business rules organized so that a later version can use them. Note which requests customers repeat and which manual steps consume time. Those observations are better reasons for adding an app feature than a long list borrowed from another company's website.
Try the finished journey on a phone and a computer. Check the confirmation, saved record and recovery from a mistake. Once the small version helps real people, use their feedback to choose the next feature. The right scope is the one you can operate confidently.
