How we take a stay.
Plain terms for a small inn: what a night includes, how a room is held, and what happens when plans change.
Prices
Every price on this site is in Indian rupees, a night for the room, and includes breakfast and the taxes that apply. Dinner is ₹900 a head and is paid at the end of the stay. Prices can change between seasons; the price you are told when we confirm is the one you pay.
Holding a room
We confirm by email once we have your dates and a deposit of one night, paid by bank transfer or UPI. The rest is paid at the inn, by card, UPI or cash. Without a deposit a room is held for three days and then goes back on offer.
Changing your mind
Cancel fourteen days or more before you arrive and the deposit comes back in full. Cancel within fourteen days and we keep the deposit, unless we can let the room to someone else, in which case it comes back. If the road is closed by snow or by the monsoon and you cannot reach us, every rupee comes back, whatever the date.
The stay
Check in is from 14:00 and check out by 11:00; tell us if a bus or a flight makes that hard and we work around it. The cabins take two adults and a child; the rooms take two. Dogs are welcome in the cabins at no charge if they are happy around horses and hens. Smoking is for the terrace. We ask for quiet after ten, for the valley as much as for the other guests.
The site
The site shows the rooms as well as we can keep it; a date may be taken before the page is updated, which is why we confirm by email. The pictures are examples of the kind of place this is and may differ from the room on the day.
About this page
Alder is an example inn, made as a start for your own site. Its people, prices and address are invented; replace this page with your own terms before the site is yours.
