How it works

Twelve weeks, inside your studio, with the people who do the work.

Nothing is written for a shelf. We sit at a desk in the studio, we try the new way on the projects that are live that month, and we leave when it is yours.

  1. 1

    Week 0

    The week of looking

We sit in the studio for a week: the Monday meeting, two client calls, the invoices, the schedules, the lunches. We read the last twelve months of fees and the last three presentations. We talk to everyone, alone, for half an hour each.

At the end you get a page. It says what is actually going on, in plain words, with three numbers, and which one or two of the five things we would fix first. It is yours whether or not we go on.

  2. 2

    Week 1

    The one or two things

We agree the one or two areas to fix, the number that will tell us it worked, and who in the studio owns it with us. One person, named, with the time to do it: that is the condition.

We also agree what we will not touch for twelve weeks, so the studio is not changing everything at once.

  3. 3

    Weeks 1 to 11

    The twelve weeks

We are in the studio two days a week, usually Monday and Thursday. The new way is tried on live projects from the first week, changed when it does not fit, and kept when it does. There is no pilot and no training day; there is the work, done the new way, with us beside it.

The number is read every Friday, by the owner, in the Monday board. Most weeks it moves a little. Around week six it moves a lot.

  4. 4

    Week 12

    The handover

In week twelve we leave, and the way stays because it is already yours: the owner has run it for eight weeks, the documents are in your folders, the number is on your board. We write one page on what to watch for in the next six months.

We come back once, three months on, for a morning, at no fee, to read the number with you.

The fee

Fixed before week one. We say a number before you ask.

The fee depends on the size of the studio and how many of the five things we take on, and it is written in the proposal before the week of looking starts. Nothing is billed by the hour.

  • The week of looking, on its own

    from ₹90,000

One week in the studio and the page at the end. Invoiced once, before the week.

  • The twelve weeks

    from ₹4,80,000

The week of looking, the twelve weeks two days a week, the handover and the morning three months on. Invoiced in three stages: before week one, at week six, at the handover.
